Over my winter break, my friend Eddie and I decided we needed a little get away to combat our cabin fever we have with our love to hate Ohio.
We had just been to New York so we decided we could drive up to Chicago, eat some popcorn and stare at a bean.
Here are pictures of our adventure! Do you recognize any of these places?
This is the view from our hotel room- Marriott on the Magnificent Mile.
The famous “Bean” .. named the “Cloud Gate.” Ultimate place for artsy selfies, of course. 😉
This is the annual “Christmas Market” in Delay Plaza in downtown Chicago. It was packed. I would recommend going earlier on in the day and coming very hungry.. lots and lots of good food!
Christmas on the Magnificent Mile.
Latte from a cute indoor “market” called Eately.
The Art Institute of Chicago- $17 admission for students with I.D. Totally worth it.
Georges Seurat “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte”
“Paris Street; Rainy Day” by Gustave Caillebotte.
Installation that feels like your walking through rain… very neat.
Shedd Aquarium Jellyfish 🙂
Top of the John Hancock Building.. also known as “360Chicago”
Hope you enjoyed my photos… Have you been to Chicago? What was your favorite place?
Much love and happy holidays 🙂
